I understand and acknowledge that volunteering with animals, particularly in a rescue environment,
involves inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to:
● Animal Behavior: Potential for scratches, bites, kicks, or other injuries caused by cats,
regardless of their temperament, due to their unpredictable nature.
● Allergies: Exposure to animal dander, hair, or other allergens that may cause allergic reactions.
● Zoonotic Diseases: Exposure to animal-borne illnesses or parasites that may be transmissible to
humans.
● Physical Activity: Risks associated with physical exertion, lifting, bending, cleaning, and other
activities required for animal care or event setup.
● Environmental Hazards: Risks associated with the physical environment where volunteer
activities take place, including facilities, outdoor areas, and transportation.
